The 36 SL Performance Elite pairs the revised 36mm stanchion chassis with FOX's updated GRIP X damper, which features reworked piston design, valving, and bleed layout for improved oil flow and a smoother mid-stroke feel. The removal of firm mode reflects a deliberate shift toward descending performance. The FLOAT Glidecore air spring uses flexible O-rings to allow the air shaft to move with the fork under load, reducing friction and bind without adding complexity. Double-butted damper-side stanchions shed grams where the material isn't doing structural work.
