The 36 SL Float 29in Fork redefines what short-travel trail bikes can feel like. Weighing just 1755 grams in its 140mm trim, it’s the lightest 36 FOX has ever made—and a direct answer to riders who want big-bike stiffness with XC-like efficiency. Its chassis is re-engineered for lateral and torsional stiffness with generatively designed cutouts and a shorter profile that keeps the ride tight and responsive.
FOX’s FLOAT EVOL air spring now features compliance under side load, improving suspension action when railing corners or hitting roots off-line. Internally, extra bushing overlap and re-positioned bypass channels reduce stiction and support ultra-plush action throughout the stroke. The GRIP X damper splits the difference between the all-mountain aggression of GRIP X2 and the efficiency of lightweight XC dampers, offering compression and rebound control plus a pedal-friendly firm mode.
Finished with Kashima-coated 36mm stanchions, a sleek Kabolt SL axle, and trail-tuned geometry, the 36 SL is ideal for aggressive XC riders, downcountry shredders, and trail riders looking for full-size feel in a featherweight form.
