Swapping the ratchet in a compatible ENVE Innerdrive hub changes the degree of engagement between the freehub and the drive mechanism, with four options spanning a 9-degree 40-tooth ratchet to a 3.6-degree 100-tooth ratchet. A tighter engagement angle shortens the gap between coasting and power delivery, while a wider angle trades some of that immediacy for reduced drag.
