Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
For all intents and purposes, these are about the same weight as a carbon cage, and I'm willing to bet more durable. They look better than a glossy carbon weave. Just so you know, there are other color options out there. I picked up a matte black version from my LBS that looks great on a Cervelo S5 and does not dress it down at all despite the economical price tag. I am still in initial testing stages but optimistic. Fits my CamelBack bottles tightly.
This is a fine cage Holds bottles secure but still not too hard to grab your bottle from it. Ride alum bike so I get the bumps etc but bottles stay secure. Nice price Nice weight Nice look Cannot complain at all :)
Nice looking and functioning bottle cage. I've tried a few out over the last couple of years and I prefer the functionality of these cages over many others. I now have them on all of my bikes. It doesn't hurt that they look cool too.
It's not every day that you find a bike part for $15 that works perfect and looks good on your bike. This thing holds my 22oz bottle very securely, has a nice minimal/simple look to it, is plenty light, and didn't break the bank. I wouldn't say this is the end-all ultimate bottle cage, but it definitely works great and is a great price. I would purchase again.
I got two of these to put on my new road bike, and thus far, I've been coming away thoroughly impressed. A bottle cage isn't anything to astonishing, but little features such as an angled entry near the top of the cage for ease of bottle placement, a stiff retention design, and slick colors really help tie it in to the bike. Also, the design is stiff enough, light enough and affordable enough that the only reason why not to get it is if you don't like the colors. I love it, and feel very confident in my purchase to get them again when/if needed.
I wanted to put carbon water bottle cages on my new Specialized carbon bike but the prices were really high and the Specialized products had some negative reviews about the side entry style of theirs and the bottles moving around on bumps. The Elite Paron composite cages were cheap, lighter than some carbon, and hold my bottles fine even over large bumps. Save the money from the carbon bottle cages and buy these, you won't be disappointed. They look great too with many color combinations available. Ridden about 500 miles with them on my new bike no problems.
