The DT Swiss FR 1500 moves on from the FR 1950 platform with reinforcement built into the bead hook and flange, the two spots that take the brunt of a hard rim strike. DT Swiss splits spoke count by position for the first time on this platform: 28 up front, 32 in the rear. The front wheel loses weight for quicker turn-in while the rear keeps the spoke count needed to stay stiff under load.
