By far the best grip of any flats I've tried, sometimes it's almost too grippy... if I get my foot skeewah when dropping in, it can be sketchy because it's hard to actually shift your foot to the right position, but you get used to this, and once you figure it out, the locked-on feel is amazing and is a super confidence boost when taking big airs. I only use these for a dedicated park bike, so not sure how they actually pedal, but I can't imagine they'd be a problem. Time will tell how the durability holds up.

I don't now if it's the 2.5 mm of concavity or the pin placement, but the first thing you notice on these pedals is the excellent grip. Of course the downside of that is repositioning your feet. But just like any other pedal, you quickly get used to it and it's not a problem. Another benefit is that there is no bulbous inboard bearing like is common on other pedals. That means you can put your foot in close to the cranks, if you choose to. As you might expect from the pin placement, you can really push down on the outboard side of these pedals without loosing grip.

I have had two pair of T-MACs and have put several thousand miles on each pair. I loved these pedals, which remain grippier than any others I have ridden, which include Deity Blade Runners, Specialized Boomslangs, One Up Aluminums and Wolftooth Waveforms. My T-Macs required complete service annually. This is easy to do unless the bushings also need to be replaced. The bushings can be removed with a tap, but their split ring design makes them difficult to install without a specific installation drift (using a socked failed as it distorted the bushing). I ended up shipping the pedals to the factory for bushing installation. Not a deal killer, but inconvenient if you do not have a good set of backup pedals. While super grippy and confidence-inspiring, there were a couple of downsides to the design: (1) they are relatively thick, which noticeably increased pedal strikes on the trails I ride, and (2) these pedal strikes on ricks ripped out pins which could not be replaced because their sockets were too badly distorted. In the end, I lost enough pins that I needed to get new pedals. I have not had the same problem with the Waveform pins, which screw in from the backside and therefore have a more robust interface with pedal body.

Robust and the grip is crazy!

wide enough to comfortably place your foot and the concave shape helps to keep your feet in place. I was using the PNW composite pedal before this and found this pedal an upgrade in terms of the grip and foot placement. Have yet to break a pin but only time will tell, also this pedal comes with extra pins if your pins does break
