No better tape out there

Cinelli....'nuff said. Cork is a answer...plush, easy to install...lasts. Bought black 'cause the 'rule' is no white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day.

    Old Faithful

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had this tape on many bikes over the years. It's not fancy but it gets the job done. Being so affordable it's not a big deal to re-wrap it once or twice a season when it tears. It's decently cushy (the gel cork version is quite cushy), has a tape backing for easy install, and looks good on most bikes. These days I've on grippier Lizard Skins but I feel I'll find my way back to Cinelli cork one day.

    Just works.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have ridden on Cinelli bar tape for as long as I can remember and have tried others, but always come back to Cinelli.

    Smooth comfortable pillows

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Cinelli cork tape is a solid bang for your buck when it comes to bar tape. Its cushy and comfortable, and the colors look great, too.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This tape is great. I don't plan on getting anything but cork going forward.

    Cool colors

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This cork tape is great quality. If you go for a lighter color keep in mind your grimmy hands will make it look gross quicker than your dark tones.

    Almost perfecto

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Cinelli should be a house hold name for anyone into cycling. This tape wraps well, is affordable and lasts a season. Enough said. Great quality.

    Great Grip!

I put this bar tape on my Kona Paddy Wagon commuter and it works great! It's super plush and comfortable and I like the cork speckles in the color. Tons of sweet colors and I went with the yellow!

    Cinelli Cork Tape

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Very easy to wrap and feels good while riding. Also very cheap!

    Still the classic.

Cinelli cork tape has been The Reference road bar tape since the early 90s. Why?

Cinelli invented "cork" (cork/pu/foam) handlebar tape in ~1987. It quickly revolutionized handlebar tape. When I think we used to wrap our road bars in shiny hard plastic Bennoto tape -which provided essentially zero shock absorbtion- I shudder.

Today... Cinelli cork tape still looks the best, comes in a large selection of cool looking colors, and works fantastically. It is soft, grippy, and shock-absorbing. It really does provide fantastic grip and control.

***In addition, Cinelli cork tape only costs $12-14/pkg. That value is unsurpassed in the cycling world.

Yes, there are now scores of other cork/gel/pu bar tape choices. But none imho have surpassed Cinelli in function, feel, looks, and especially price.

P.S. -If you ride really rough roads or have wrist pain or carpal tunnel, buy Cinelli "cork-gel" tape at $22/pkg (less on sale). It looks and feels the same, but features a base layer of silicon, and is even more shock absorbing.

Lastly: I recommend using black electrical tape to finish your bars. It looks much cleaner than the supplied logo finishing tape.

      Comfortable and good looking

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got this tape in orange for my girlfriend's new bike. It loos great and is comfortable and grippy.

      Great Grip

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've loved the feel of this while riding. My old grip didn't have much give, but this one is perfect. I used it during LoToJa and forgot it was on the handlebars, which is what you hope for. I bought grey and so far it's stayed somewhat clean too.

      Love It

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

A tape that is soft to the touch , excellent comfort. Great orange color. Excellent product .

      Bar tape brand bar tape.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

In the beginning, there was Cinelli cork tape. Since then, there have been innumerable efforts to reinvent the simplest, most basic element of a bicycle. The only appropriate response to this epidemic of over-engineering is: Git'cher damn hands off'a my bar tape.

      Matchy match

          Cinelli Cork Tape

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

One of the best cork tapes out there. Very easy to manipulate during wrapping and durable once on the bars.

          good bargain

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

i do have tape i like a little better overall but for the price if your not racing or riding 100 miles this is a bargain

          Solid Tape

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great bar tape for the price, easy to wrap, comfy and does a good job of dampening bumps and more colors than the rainbow, can't go wrong.
