Bearing contamination is the slow leak in drivetrain efficiency — gradual, largely invisible, and entirely preventable with the right engineering. The CeramicSpeed OSPW RS ALPHA v2 TEAM was designed around that problem, earning a 2025 TAIPEI CYCLE d&i award for the ADR and ALPHA Disc bearing protection technology at its core.

Patented ADR technology takes a two-part approach. A dust cover sits anchored in a groove machined into the pulley wheel itself, fully enclosing the bearing. A bladed groove structure surrounding the dust cover then dynamically extracts debris as the pulley rotates — an active defense rather than a passive seal. The result is a bearing that resists contamination in conditions where standard designs eventually fail, developed through CeramicSpeed's R&D lab and validated in field testing with professional off-road teams.

The ALPHA Disc pulley builds on that foundation with a two-piece construction refined through cyclocross World Cup use. A composite narrow-wide tooth profile extends wear life and reduces drivetrain noise, while the solid aluminium disc eliminates the spoke gaps that collect mud, grit, and debris in real riding conditions. Customizable spring tension and the reinforced RS cage complete a system built for riders who measure performance across an entire season, not just a single race.
