For riders dealing with frequent washdowns, rain exposure, or winter road spray, lubricant choice is as much about corrosion control as it is friction reduction. Boeshield T-9 Waterproof Lubricant uses a solvent carrier to transport protective compounds deep into crevices, where it helps displace moisture, loosen minor corrosion, and flush out old contaminants.

After application, the carrier evaporates and the product transitions into a thin, waxy film that adheres to metal surfaces. This dry-to-waxy finish is designed to resist wash-off and provide months-long protection on exposed hardware, while also delivering lubrication on moving interfaces. Because it doesn’t dry into a tacky, wet oil layer, it’s a strong option for mixed conditions where dust and grit would otherwise build into an abrasive paste.
