    Avid Handlebar Clamps

These are helpful when wanting to clean up your bars and mount your shifter onto one clamp with the brake lever. They are secure, but can leave some heavy marks on carbon handlebars so make sure you check where you want them before cranking down on them.

    Mixin' it up

MMX is a great addition for cleaning up the cockpit. I'm one of those "less is more" kind of guys and with this addition it cleans up the bike nice. I love that I no longer have to adjust two bar clamps with this and am less likely to break parts. If you don't have this you NEED it!

    MMX for all

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I use the MMX sytle clamp for all my gear and it does the job as described. Not much else to say, but if you have questions, I would be happy to assist. sgolsan@backcountry.com

    Bar clamps

I love these bar clamps, it makes it so simple. I use the MMX clamp for everything, so they will work with everything.

    Clamps!

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

If running just a Sram shifter, the discrete clamp will do the job, but you are running Guide brakes with a Sram shifter, go with the MXX version which will put both shifter and brake on the same clamp.

Not Needed for SRAM X01 and Guide Brakes

I originally bought this for my new Pivot Mach 6 but found out during the building process that it was not needed. My SRAM X01 Shifter and Rock Shox Reverb Trigger attach easily to the Guide RSC Brake Levers for a super clean handlebar like Brett said below. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions about setting up your bars. Kyle L. - Expert Gearhead - klivingston@backcountry.com - 801-736-4337

    mix it up!

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I hate having loads of clamps on my bar. Using the Mix Master version of the Sram shifter to mate up with Guide brakes is a great way to clean up the bar area.

    Good but inconvenient

Very reliable clamp but you have to remove the grips to take on and off the bar. Prefer the hinge clamp.
