The CX 1X OVAL Direct Mount Chainring is engineered for cyclocross and gravel riders running SRAM direct mount 1x cranksets who want improved efficiency and dependable chain retention. We rely on it in race and training scenarios where rapid accelerations, uneven traction, and sustained efforts place constant stress on the drivetrain. Designed by absoluteBLACK, it combines oval power delivery with narrow-wide security in a clean, stiff direct mount format.

Each size is individually optimized with a specific ovality and timing to reduce dead spots and smooth torque application through the pedal stroke. This improves cadence control and traction on steep or slippery climbs where maintaining momentum matters most. CNC-machined from 7075 aluminum and finished with durable anodizing, the chainring maintains stiffness while standing up to gritty, high-wear conditions common in cyclocross and gravel riding.

Compatibility includes SRAM direct mount cranksets using GXP and BB30 spindle standards, including Force, Rival, CX1, and S900 models that accept three-bolt direct mount chainrings.
