What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I used the TetraRack M2L on a five-day singletrack traverse, and the levelling adjustment on the top plate made a real difference on the more technical sections. The load stayed centered and predictable even on off-camber terrain, and the QuickTrack system meant setup and breakdown at camp took almost no time at all."

The most compelling mountain bike routes are the ones that cannot be done in a day, and accessing that kind of terrain with enough gear to do it properly has always required a carrying solution that can keep up with the bike itself. The Topeak TetraRack M2L was designed for exactly that context, mounting to the seatstays of full suspension and hardtail frames without eyelets via a hook and loop strap system that fits seatstay widths between 95 and 125mm. With a mounting length of 200mm and padded strap feet that protect the frame finish, it installs without drilling and holds its position through the kind of technical riding that would shake a lesser rack loose by lunchtime. The system is not recommended for carbon frames or V-brake-equipped bikes, but on alloy and steel builds, it is as solid as anything bolted directly to the frame.

The engineering that separates the TetraRack M2L from a basic strap-on rack is the strut slot adjustment system that allows the top plate to sit level, independent of the seatstay angle. On a full suspension frame where geometry varies significantly across manufacturers and even across travel settings, a level top plate means your load is balanced and predictable rather than fighting the bike through every corner and switchback. That stability compounds over a long day in the saddle in ways that matter enormously by hour six of a technical route.

The MTX QuickTrack 2.0 system brings the kind of camp efficiency that multi-day riders genuinely appreciate after a hard day out. Compatible Topeak trunk bags and the E-Xplorer TrunkBox slide in and lock with a single forward motion, and the push button release frees them in one move when you roll into camp. Compatibility extends to KLICKfix and RackTime Snapit 1.0 and Vario system bags for riders already invested in those ecosystems. With a 12kg maximum load rating, a dedicated tail light mount, and a rear reflector clamp included, the TetraRack M2L is the complete rear carrying platform for riders who measure their routes in days and nights rather than hours.
