SidiGenius Fit Cycling Shoe - Women's
Item # SID003G
Better than the rest.
Sidi produces the world's most popular selling cycling shoes, and the new Sidi Genius Fit Women's Shoes are destined to be one of its most popular models. Similar to the Genius 5 Pro, the Fit uses the same design, only with both technology and material upgrades in a women's-specific platform.
Sidi constructed the uppers of the Genius Fit shoes from its Technomicro material. Essentially, this is a composite microfiber that's created from strands that are so fine that each one is less than one-thousandth the thickness of silk. These fibers act like a natural leather skin, only with the advantage of increased strength, soft texture, and light weight. Water-repellent, quick-drying, breathable, and permeable to water vapor, it's obviously ideal for shoe uppers. It's abrasion- and mildew-resistant, as well, making it far easier to clean than leather. Additionally, this material is resistant to stretching and deterioration from atmospheric agents. And to keep your feet from getting too warm, mesh inserts were added throughout the uppers.
At the outsole, we find that Sidi went with its Millennium 4 Carbon Composite for the construction. If you're familiar with Sidi, you're certainly familiar with the Millennium 3 composite, and well, this replaces that iteration for pretty obvious reason. Designed with a nylon matrix that's been injected with strands of carbon fiber it's 37% stiffer than nylon alone. The material is non water-absorbent, and it's resistant to changes in stiffness from prolonged use, age, or temperature. It features an anti-slip toe and a replaceable polyurethane heel pad. The last of the Genius Fit is designed specifically for a women’s foot and features a narrow heel cup so that your foot doesn’t slide while riding.
Sidi's hallmark Caliper Buckle has been incorporated for retention. This two-way ratchet allows for micro-adjusts of the strap pressure in order to ensure that the fit of your upper won't be too loose or too tight. It's mated to a Soft Arch Compression Strap that evenly spreads the upward stroke pedaling forces across the top of your foot. The buckle provides four-clicks per uptake along with half-click releases. Essentially, this means that you're able to precisely tension the pressure of the strap. No other system provides more of a gentle and precise customizable fit. You also get the precision of two High Security hook-and-loop straps for volume adjustability. Its padded tongue with fit "relievers" is one final small (but important) detail that helps deliver unparalleled comfort.
The Sidi Genius Fit Women's Shoes are available in the color Black and in whole size 36 and whole and half sizes from 37 to 43. Please note that these shoes are only compatible with three-hole road cleats.
- Synthetic leather uppers conform to your feet without stretching, for the perfect fit every time
- Three-hole cleat compatibility
- Carbon-reinforced nylon soles
- Micro-adjusting caliper buckle

3rd time for this brand!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Fit:
- True to size
I decided to try something different than Sidi after having issues with a stripped screw when replacing my cleats. No, I was not able to remove the insole to fix the stripped screw. I first bought a pretty purple Bontrager. They were comfortable and I loved the color but the sole was not stiff enough for anything over 25 miles and when the weather warmed, they were hot. I kept for shorter winter rides. I then bought a Fizik. They were comfortable out of the box and vented but the heel was too wide so my foot slipped up and down. I didn’t even try them on the bike knowing the heel fit wouldn’t work and returned them. I went back to what I knew worked, the Sidi. These are great! The shoes are not vented on the sole but much cooler than my pretty purple ones because of the ventilation on the upper material. The fit is perfect and the sole stiff so the bottom of my feet don’t hurt on longer rides. I wasn’t sure about the hot pink but it is partial and makes me more visible. I like the color better than I thought. I still wish they were purple but that’s probably the only thing I would change except lower cost! Bite the bullet and get the the Sidi.

Great shoes
- Fit:
- True to size
These shoes are perfect for me. After trying a different brand (which was too narrow) I purchased these and I love them. They are just wide enough for a foot that is not especially narrow. The straps and closure work great and are very comfy. I highly recommend them.

Not the Shoe Pictured
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Sidis are the best hands down and Iâm sure these are functionally fine...but these are not the shoes pictured in color (floro is more orangey) or design and will be returning or exchanging for the shoes pictured if they have them.

Great
Finally, I needed some new shoes bad. I should have bought them sooner.

This is my second pair of these shoes. They are hands down the best bicycling shoes I have ever owned over 35 years of cycling. I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel and these fit me perfect. I think they are true to size. If you have a wide foot you might need 1/2 size bigger depending on how you like your shoes to fit. I do not mind mine being a little more roomy. These are Italian cycling shoes for serious riders. Some people complain about the tongue being stiff and scratchy. If you read the instruction manual they show you how to cut the tongue to fit your foot. This is what I did with my old shoes and it works great. I am waiting until these break in a bit before I decide where I want to put my snips. I love the closure system and replaceable heel pad. If quality and performance is what you are looking for, this is the shoe for you. I am stylin the pink and white. Cannot miss seeing me now.

Not What I Expected

The previous reviewer was right about the material of the upper: The tongue is made of hard patent leather and cuts into the foot at the bend.

These SIDI shoes are comfortable yet sturdy. The heel pads are replaceable. (Hint: Don't wait until you wear down the head on the Phillips screw. You'll play heck getting the screw out if you wear off the groove). Unfortunately, the toe pad is molded into the shoe, and not replaceable. But, the buckles and other hardware are replaceable, though I have never needed to do so. The composite sole is designed to be rigid and transfer power, rather than absorb it. It does the job. I prefer white, because that is what most pros wear, and reflections or white shoes are distracting to other racers... Cycling shoes are expensive, and if you are not riding more than 20-25 miles per ride, you can get by with less expensive shoes. My first pair of cycling shoes were some Shimano somethings as I recall, and they were okay... But, the difference between the Shimanos and the SIDIs was like changing from platform disco shoes to Bruno Magli Italian loafers. So, if you're having a birthday this year, you should buy them for yourself.

Upgraded my Girlfriend's shoes to the Pink & White. She loves them with the Dura Ace pedals. Advertised as true to size, but had to return the 42s for the 42.5 and they fit perfectly.

Solid choice
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit:
- True to size
Gave these as a gift. She wears the Sidi Dominator MTB shoe and was in need of a road shoe. Size was the same in both and the leather stretches in the right places to conform to flat and boney feet. Street shoe is 7.5-8 US and wears Sidi 39.5. She doesn't wear a lot of pink but still loved the pink and white.

Pink & White

I have a pair of the black patent leather SiDi's and I'd give them 5 stars. For some reason the Pink & White ones have a stiffer tongue? Maybe once I break them in they'll loosen up. I didn't have to do that with the black ones. I wear a 38 in bike shoes but wear an American size 7 in street shoes so based on the size chart I bought a 39 previously else where. I was lucky enough to sell them for the price I paid for the black patent leather ones.

Hi Diane. did the stiff tongue in this model loosed up after some rides or did it stayed stiff? My wife just bought them and complains that the tongue of the shoe hurts even before pedaling.

Good fit and longevity
- Familiarity:

I just bought my second pair of Sidi shoes. I have a extremely narrow foot and this is the only brand that I've found so far that fits. I still have to put an insole in to take up the volume in the shoe, but once I do this it fits perfectly. I still have my old pair, which are fine, but wanted a different color. These shoes will last forever. However, I'm not a big fan of the shiny black finish. I preferred the previous style as I believe it had a more supple feel. Hopefully, mine will get softer with use.

I have a hard time finding cycling shoes. I have wide feet and flat arches. Sidi shoes measure the same sole length for both the whole & half size but the half size is wider for a higher volume foot. Once I learned that I was able to find that the 41.5 fit perfectly. I had tried a few 41 Sidi shoes and they were too narrow and I thought I wouldn't be able to get Sidi shoes. These shoes are very comfortable, great air flow and easy to keep clean. Worth the price. I am usually a 40.5 in Specialized shoes.

Hello Darlene. Can you tell me what shoe you tried that was “too narrow”? I have a super narrow foot throughout. I’ve never had any pair of shoes be too narrow. Thanks for posting your review
