Michelin's long-awaited update to the aging monarch of its road tire line justifies its slow arrival with a host of gains over its Pro4 predecessor. The Power line consists of four tires: Competition, Endurance, All-Season, and Protection Plus, each constructed using a slightly different composition, with a different type of riding in mind. The Power All-Season Clincher counts wet, slick roads as its preferred riding surface, so if a day of training through rain or fog is just another day for you, the All-Season's focus on traction over low rolling resistance will fit your everyday routine well.
Michelin uses a new resin in the All-Season's Grip Compound, which gives the tire a claimed 15% improvement on slippery surfaces than its preceding Pro4 wet-condition tire. The resin does add some weight to the design, but when considering the material's ability to increase grip on messy, slippery surfaces at low temperatures, while offering gains in puncture resistance and longevity, the weight increase doesn't come close to overshadowing the benefits. The tire's wet-road pedigree is also rooted in a new tread profile, which boasts better side grip and a progressive tread void.

Yes, they are a bit slow but the grip is great. Winding roads are lots of fun on these. Wouldn't race them though.

I bought these for winter riding in the Northeast US. They were the top rated winter tire in a review I read. They are grippy and confidence building on a wet road day. I didn't get any flats but didn't ride them that far. My problem is that I noticed I was 1-2 mph slower on these tires than I am on my Conti 5000s. When riding up hills I found myself in a lower gear than usual. On group rides where I was usually in the front of the lead group, I was now 1/4 mile behind. Unacceptable. I'm returning them which is a great reason to buy tires from Competitive Cyclist.
