Carbon Ripley trail bike with 130mm dw-link suspension, progressive geometry, and premium components
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Ripley is my go-to recommendation for riders who want a fast, efficient trail bike that doesn’t feel undergunned on descents. It climbs exceptionally well, but the suspension stays active and controlled when the trail turns rough. The size-specific geometry really shows—every size feels balanced and dialed."
The Ripley represents a refined take on modern trail performance, combining efficient pedaling, confident geometry, and premium construction. Ibis Cycles updated the platform with more travel, a slacker front end, and thoughtful features that enhance both climbing efficiency and descending control. The carbon frame keeps weight low while maintaining stiffness and durability for demanding trail use.
At the heart of the Ripley is the dw-link suspension platform, delivering 130mm of rear travel that remains efficient under power while staying active through braking and rough terrain. Paired with a 140mm fork, the bike offers excellent front-end support and stability at speed. Size-specific suspension kinematics, chainstay lengths, and bottom bracket heights ensure consistent ride quality across the full size range.
Internal frame storage, modern drivetrain compatibility, and a premium carbon wheelset round out a trail bike designed for everything from quick local laps to long backcountry missions.

Adventure Awaits

Size-Specific Everything
Every rider deserves the same ride feel. Size-specific seat tube angles, suspension kinematics, chainstay length, and bottom bracket height keep the Ripley balanced and fast across all frame sizes.

5 Sizes
With 80% of riders between 5'5" and 6'0", Ibis introduced a new Extra-Medium (size 3) for a more precise fit. The Ripley now offers five sizes to better match rider proportions.

Flip It
A flip chip lets riders run 29" wheels or a mixed 29"/27.5" MX setup without compromising geometry. The Ripley ships with 29" wheels.

DW-Link Suspension
The dw-link suspension platform delivers efficient climbing and confident descending. Size-specific kinematics keep every frame size pedaling efficiently while staying smooth on rough trails.

Internal Frame Storage
Carry tools and snacks inside the frame with a water-resistant, rattle-free storage system. The easy-to-use latch works even with gloves in cold or muddy conditions. Includes two Cotopaxi-made storage bags crafted from remnant materials.

Built To Fly
Ibis Cycles started in 1981 when founder Scot Nicol opened a tiny workshop near Mendocino, California, with no big plan beyond building mountain bikes that were fun to ride and tough enough for the rough stuff. Today, from its home base in Santa Cruz, Ibis remains a small, rider-owned company focused on doing a few things really well: designing carbon and aluminum mountain bikes that climb efficiently, descend playfully, and feel lively every time you point them down the trail. With long-time owners and in-house engineering still deeply involved in the day-to-day, the brand stands for bikes that are light, durable, and above all, a blast to ride—whether you are racing, lapping local trails, or just chasing that next perfect corner.
