Item # HTO000M

The lightweight AE03 Evo Pedals clock in at a claimed 352g, making them the lightest of HT Components' EVO line. Like the rest of the EVO family, they still provide a beefy platform with replaceable pins for your soles to grip as you tackle rough trails, session the park, and slice through singletrack switchbacks.

The AE03's extruded, CNC-machined aluminum pedal body makes for a stiff and responsive feel, while dual DU bushing bearings keep the spindles turning smoothly. At just 11mm thick, these sleek pedals leave oodles of clearance for navigating technical terrain and narrow ruts.

Like the other reviewers, I had great initial impression of these pedals. However after only 4 months they felt and sounded like they were going to fall off. I purchased rebuilds kits to avoid warranty wait only to find out that these come with a needle bearing instead of the small du bushing in the kit and as shown in the ht rebuild video on the Facebook page.

Also, I'm still waiting on a warranty reply and what is not said on their site is that you need the original box and serial number. I've registered bikes for warranty, but pedals? That's ridiculous!

Who knows maybe they'll make it right, but if not I've waisted $150.

BTW, unless you have specialty tools shown in their video, you might as well chuck them in the trash and don't waste your time and money waiting on a rebuild kit coming from Singapore that you can't use unless you're pedals have only du bushings vice the roller bearing.

I've been toying with different flat pedals and these are defintiely high up on the list of the best we offer. Great pin removal/replacement, good axles and bearings, low profile and wide. These provide great traction and have been taking up a regular spot on my bike.

    Great Traction

I've had these for the 2017 season and have been loving them. I went from a cheaper metal platform pedal from last year to these and have to say that these are well worth the money.

These pedals are mega thin and I really like them being thin and light. These being a little thinner than other platform pedals on the market definitely has helped with avoiding the pedal strikes that are close calls.

    Pedal Traction:
It is actually pretty crazy how well my feel stay on these pedals. My last pair of flats didn't a garbage job of helping my feet stay in place. But these are great and I have't had my feet slip off the pedals. Plus there are a ton of extra pins that came with the pedals.

So far I haven't had any issues with the pedals, I've ridden these on an SB6, Bronson and Tallboy.

Is of my trail partner Lily and the pedals on a Santa Cruz Tallboy 27.5+ I demo'd.

    Great Traction

These pedals are great! They look amazing. The color is just what is shown in the photos. They come with extra threaded pins. They are so thin but so solid. I have tried other flats but love how the thin profile helps with a low bottom bracket to prevent the pedals from hitting the ground.

The AE03 Evo Pedals are killer! Super thin and sharp replaceable studs. This pedal is extremely grippy and knock on wood I have not had a pedal slip yet with them. The bearings in them are set up to give them just the right amount of tension allowing you to put your foot down on a climb or technical section without the pedal spinning fast making challenging to get your foot back on. There bearings are replaceable so if they ever wear out you can bring them back to new. I have been looking for a pedal like this for a while. Wide platform, super thin, sharp replaceable studs, and look bad a@#. If you have any questions hit me at 801-523-4075 or email me at

When buying a flat pedal there are a few things I consider. Pedal profile and pin layout are the two most important factors I consider when choosing a pedal. This is important because it directly relates to how the pedal will grip your shoe. HT nailed it when designing the pin layout of AE03 Evo pedals. When combined with a sticky rubber sole these pedals offer unrivaled grip. The thin profile not only looks cool but helps to reduce pedal strikes. As an added bonus, the low weight of these pedals means they won't add unnecessary weight to your bike. And with cool colors on offer you can add some attitude to your ride.

Durability is another major point to consider when purchasing a new pedal. My last pair of HT pedals are still going strong after 2 years, and I suspect these will last just as long. The design of these pedals also means they are super easy to service. I highly recommend these pedals to anyone who wants a lightweight, thin, and durable pedal.

    Great set of flats

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Incredibly thin, relatively lightweight, and great traction to the proper shoes. Have used another set of HT flats for a couple of years on a different bike, and found the company to provide a durable and high quality pedal.

    Super Thin!

Picked these pedals up and have put a few rides on them. First thing you notice is how thin and light they are. Grip is incredible and the blue is a nice touch.

    Super Thin!

    Locked On

I put a pair of these on my DH rig and am loving them. Very thin and lightweight. My feet stay locked onto these. Can't speak to durability, however they include a ton of extra pins which is a nice touch.

    Super Thin

I bought these thin pedals specifically to help compensate for my bikes low BB. They are very light and feel very solid and well made. I adjusted the nut on the outside of the axle enough so that they would spin more freely but didn't have any lateral play. We will see how that holds up in the long term. They are great so far, look awesome and feel plenty comfortable and grippy underfoot.
