Great features
I bought this two years ago and am so happy with it still. The screen is easy to read, fairly intuitive to use, the best maps, data feedback and overall the absolute best bike computer I have ever had.

Great Data. Limited Routing Map Display.
The data I can get on the screen at one time is super. I especially like that I can see graphically where my gears are on the crankset and cassette. I also like the beeps it gives me before my DI2 is about to change to the other gear on the crankset (in full auto shift mode.). The only problems with data display I find are that some of the fields are average over time (e.g. 3 or 4 seconds), while on some I would like instantaneous display, like Grade or Power. It is also difficult to see in the bright light, and would be nice if the brightness of the backlight could go even higher. I find the map display however to be basically useless for navigating a course. The images is so small, and the text messages are as well, that you cannot see them (or at least I cannot) without leaning down very close. That is not very safe. Even when you see them, they are not very intuitive.

My Garmin; My Friend
I updated a 520 to the 1030 plus when I bought a new bike in November. The bike has AXS electronic shifting and the 1030 ability to monitor batteries and shift stats has impressed me. I wanted more screen space and got it. However, it's always important to note "issues" and I have minor ones. The 1030 isn't as bright as the 520 it seems and the color screens don't jump out. An analogy I can present is the comparison to back up camera tech on my 2012 car vs the 2019. Colors jump out on the newer cars. The 1030 is truly my friend integrating my bike components with the GPS stats. Thank you Garmin.

It’s great but…
It’s a great device, but I need to follow the slope, and it lacks this feature. Additionally, there is no synchronization between devices like Fenix, which is a significant issue. This also affects other features, such as intensity minutes, which the device does not display.

Great information. Very flexible screens.
I would not ride without the Edge 1030+. It gives me great real time information, and I can add screens and change what they show, with lots or just a few data fields. I take a star off for a few things which I think could easily be made better: 1. Should have USB-C rather than mini USB connector. 2. Many of the data fields are averages and others are real time. It is difficult on some of them to know which are which. 3. Having to set up on the device itself is awkward. It would be great if you could set it up on a computer, and then transfer the setup to the Garmin.

Great cycling computer!
I’ve had it for several years and I can’t be happier! It handles all my needs and some. The touchscreen is great even when you’re sweaty. I can’t find anything wrong with it, for my use.

Nice Upgrade from Edge 1030
I purchased the Edge 1030 Plus as upgrade from Edge 1030. Main objective was to get better Trailforks integration. I am not having much luck with the integration. Others have told me the maps are automatically integrated as long as Trailforks is enabled in the device. I have not found this to be the case. Information on both Garmin and Trailforks websites is not clear. I had issues with 4iii power meter dropping out on the Edge 1030 and still have the issue. Never had an issue with Wahoo. Also, get random error messages on my head unit stating my Vario light is disconnected or malfunctioning. Same messages occured on Edge 1030. From on-line blogs I determined this was a common problem that Garmin has failed to address. I still give the unit 4 stars. Processor is faster than the Edge 1030 and it just functions a bit better. I know I will get the Trailforks integration figured out.

Great Bicycling Computer
I am learning a lot about the vast amount of capabilities of the computer. Battery is much better than Garmin Edge 1000. Love it so far.
