Top tier
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Typical Assos super high quality fabrics, good level of compression, and a partially sewn in chamois to prevent chaffing from the inner thigh contacting saddle movement. Absence of chamois padding for the perineal is something you didn’t know you needed. Additional thickness of material in front to hide your fella better than most shorts. Perfect fit in medium for 32 waist.

Chamois is not sewn in?
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The material of the short is excellent, however the chamois is only sewn into the short in the front and the back/not the part that contacts the seat. This leads to lots of movement of the chamois and bunching while riding/and consequently will lead to a lot of chaffing. I am sure the mobile chamois has some purpose, but I couldn't find it, and returned the shorts as a result.

Good biking shorts

More compression than the Mille GT shorts that I bought previously, which have been comfortable and durable. Chamois is also comfy in these.

If you want…..

an uncomfortable ride then buy these overpriced uncomfortable shorts. Like the other review said these shorts have a chamois that’s not completely sewn in. The sides and the top have no foundation at all, the design is terrible. The chamois bunches up while riding, it’s uncomfortable and irritating. Save your money and don’t buy.

Great shorts but not for me...
- Familiarity:

Decided to get back into cycling with a trainer and Zwift so I can avoid to heat, and drivers that don't care bailout anything. So I have a couple of there old bib shorts with the old (dinosaur) orange chamois. These were a pretty good fit not my favorite Chamois but a good functional design with no problems. I figured that the latest design would be an improvement, and while I like the pattern of the shorts, the I fit into their size chart for XL perfectly, the placement of the Chamois and the current design with the center sections side not attached doesn't work for me at all. These shorts are tight on me, and even then the champs bunches in a strange way causing me numbness. Also it's way too thick. maybe, maybe these would be good in an upright position. They also don't slide or move on my seat without catching , it's Selle Italia nothing strange or grippy. The biggest disappointment was contacting Assos. I'm not sure what I though I was going to get out of that, but the response was sounds like our design and pattern does not work for you, our fit guarantee only is if you purchase directly from your website, but your outside the timelines. So this was my bad and a bad purchase. I've got $220 into two pairs I really can't use.

A bit pricy but well worth it. First ride 4 hours and really like it. Quality of the fabric is top. I am 5:10 140lbs and purchase Large good fit.

They stay up, look slim, wash well and have great cushioning. And the best of all: I dont feel them. I love my Assos bib-less shorts.

I didn't know they could be this good

I have two pair of the same shorts in bib form. These feel just as good, possibly better in the legs. Good compression, no discomfort around the waist, long rides in the saddle without undue pressure spots. Great shorts. Buying another two pair.
