The cap body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum using a spoked profile that removes material precisely where it can be removed without compromising load-bearing capacity. The bolt goes further still, machined from 7075-T6 aluminum in a hollow configuration that shaves additional grams from a part that most manufacturers treat as an afterthought. Each unit spends three times as long in the CNC lathe as a standard design, and the visible machine paths left by that process are a deliberate aesthetic choice that aligns with the broader MK0 component family.
