The XX SL Eagle Transmission crankset runs a hollow-core carbon crank arm engineered to handle the torque of a direct-mount Eagle Transmission setup while keeping weight to a minimum. The 34T aluminum chainring uses a T-Type direct mount interface specific to Eagle Transmission, not backward compatible with standard Eagle derailleurs.
