Steel is real.

You've upgraded your groupset to 11-speed but need a few different cassettes. The SRAM PG-1130 cassette is an affordable choice to add extra gears to your toolbox.

The PG-1130 was constructed from steel, which makes it heavier but also cuts down the cost, significantly. It retains the same Powerglide tooth profile as more expensive SRAM cassettes for fast and accurate shifting. It is available in three sizes, from a closer-spaced cassette ideal for criterium racing to one that includes a 32t cog for those hors categorie climbs you want to conquer.

  • Workhorse cassette makes 11-speed affordable
  • Dependable steel and aluminum construction
  • PowerGlide teeth hang onto chain without slowing it down

good enough, except when it's not

I've used it several times

I thought I'd save a little money by putting this cassette and corresponding chain on my otherwise-Force build. The parts are still new (300ish miles), but I'm a little disconcerted that I can make the chain slip on the cassette if I really try. I know what some of you are probably thinking; the chain, chainrings, cassette were all replaced at the same time, and the chain is the proper length. I should also note than I'm currently about 200 lbs and have decently strong legs, although I do not know how much power I put out (yet). If any of this has you concerned, go with PG-1170 or better. and you'll be fine.

I've put it through the wringer

I'm no weight weenie, and efficiency can be gained by loosing my mid section, so for me, this is the perfect cassette, a workhorse. cheap, works on 11 speed road with no issues!

Can't complain. Great for the price.

I've used it several times

Definitely not the lightest or flashier cassette on the market, but shifting quality is excellent. Bought this after researching the 1150 cassette and found they are the same besides weight. For a midrange cassette the shifting is excellent.
