SRAMPowerglide Road Chainring - 10-Speed
Item # SRM003C
Powerglide Road Chainring
SRAM offers its Inner Chainring, ideal for both road and 'cross riding, in myriad sizes to humor our impulses and account for whatever a given race throws our way.
This ring is stamped from 7075-T6 alloy, a string of numbers and letters that is really just a funny way to spell "gear that will last." It gets the SRAM/TruVativ machining and coining treatment for precise shifting and the alloy is strain-hardened for virtual invincibility.
The SRAM Inner Chainring - Road is available in 110 or 130 millimeter BCD (Bolt Circle Diameter) with 34, 36, 38, 39, 42, or 46 teeth. Please note that this ring is only 10-speed compatible.

Road Rings
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have an older Specialized Tarmac with these rings. Replaced chain, and cassette then started to experience chain suck downshifting from big to little ring. Wanted to replace both rings but unable to find big ring. SRAM has no tech support; they direct you to the dealers. Dealers won't reply. Backcountry told me they weren't available but didn't suggest an alternative. Guess I'm supposed to take it to a shop.

So you give this ring two stars because you could find rings that work in your old bike? That’s not how product reviews work. And by that I mean it’s not helpful.

Great price, not the best shifting.

I bought these rings to be nice budget rings on a cross bike. The shifting performance is not the best, and you have to make sure that you use Sram's recommended ring combos. There are certain sizes that are specifically designed to be used together so that shift ramps line up correctly. Even when you have the appropriate set up, it seems these rings still do not shift quite as well as the new 11 speed groups out there.

Can this be used in a 1x setup?

Yeah, but, you are going to have much better chain retention with a dedicated narrow-wide 1x ring when doing any bumpy riding or when putting the chain at an angle (highest or lowest gears).

Is this ring compatible with the Red 10 Spd Yaw Hidden Bolt 53T chainring? Having a tough time sorting out if a special inner is required with the Red hidden bolt design.

SRAM does have their own tech support, and the big rings are still available on QBP. Go to a bike shop and they'll order it for you- otherwise they're all over amazon.
