410/402 Innerbarends enhance ergonomics and aerodynamics for trekking handlebars

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I suggest these for riders looking to relieve upper-body fatigue on long tours. The inward grip option gives you a second hand position that feels more neutral and efficient, especially when riding into headwinds."

The 410/402 Innerbarends are engineered to optimize ergonomics and efficiency for trekking and comfort-oriented cycling setups. By shifting the grip position inward, they promote a more neutral wrist and forearm alignment, helping reduce tension in the neck and shoulder muscles during extended rides. This repositioning also redistributes hand pressure across a broader contact area, improving long-distance comfort.

The narrower arm stance contributes to a more compact riding posture, reducing frontal area and improving aerodynamic efficiency on straight sections and open terrain. Designed for seamless integration with SQlab 710 and 702 grips, the Innerbarends mount in place of the clamp ring, creating a smooth transition between grip and extension without cluttering the cockpit.

Constructed from fiber composite reinforced plastic and weighing approximately 110g per pair, they clamp securely to 22.2mm handlebars with a 20mm clamping width and a maximum torque of 5Nm. E-bike ready and rated to DIN/ASTM category 2, the 410/402 Innerbarends provide a lightweight, integrated solution for riders seeking enhanced comfort and aerodynamic benefit on trekking and everyday rides.
