I prefer a snug-fitting minimalist road glove without a Velcro closure, and these Sportful Race gloves are just about perfect. The gloves provide great bar feel, with a lightly padded ventilated palm, and are very form-fitting. They provide lots of flex, don't bind or bunch up anywhere, and are very durable. I've had four pair for a couple of seasons (about 10k miles) and haven't experienced any rips, tears, or failed seams, although the stretchy fabric on the back has faded a bit across the knuckles on a couple of pairs. These gloves are, by far, the most comfortable and durable road gloves I've ever owned. I just ordered three more pair for the 2022 season. The only downside is they're a bit fiddly to get off, especially after a long hot ride. There's a small fabric pull-tab between the two middle fingers that's supposed to make it easier to take them off, but this tab doesn't work at all for me. So, maybe an extra few seconds to get these off at the end of a ride. Fit is snug, if you're between sizes, order the larger size. My palm circumference measures 8.5 inches, and size Large is a perfect fit.
