The Specialized S-Works Recon Mountain Bike Shoe was built for riders who demand every ounce of power reach the pedals. At its core is Specialized’s FACT carbon plate—ultra-light and engineered to deliver class-leading stiffness for cross-country and gravel race performance. It’s matched with a Dyneema Mesh upper, layered between tough TPU and stretch-resistant reinforcement for a structure that conforms to the foot but never gives out under pressure.

Ergonomics are front and center with Specialized’s Body Geometry design, which aligns the hip, knee, and foot to optimize power output over long efforts. The PadLock heel provides a locked-in rear-foot feel that enhances acceleration and responsiveness, while dual BOA S3-Snap dials allow precise micro-adjustments across the top of the foot for secure fit without pressure points.

On the sole, recessed cleat mounts support standard 2-bolt SPD-style systems and are paired with SlipNot rubber on the toe and heel for efficient movement through CX pits, start lines, or hardpack transitions.
