The Specialized S-Works Epic 9 Frameset features FACT 12m carbon and Flight Attendant for XC racing

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"What I noticed first is how the suspension just handles itself. I wasn't thinking about it once on the trail. The carbon feels light without feeling fragile, which I appreciated. For an XC race build, I haven't personally come across much that touches it."

The S-Works Epic 9 Frameset improves on the Epic 8's design by shedding 206 grams and reducing suspension friction 11% through refined kinematics and updated Flight Attendant technology. The S-Works FACT 12m is Specialized's highest grade carbon frame, delivering exceptional stiffness-to-weight at 3.49kg with fork included. Rider-First Engineered geometry is tuned independently per frame size, and the flip chip adjusts head angle between 65.9 and 66.3 degrees. The RockShox SIDLuxe Ultimate and SID Ultimate fork both run Flight Attendant wireless control, with Solo Air in the rear for a smooth, progressive feel and Debon Air up front for a lighter, more responsive stroke. UDH-compatible dropout, threaded BB, and internal routing designed for wireless drivetrains complete the package.

Built to Race, Nothing Left Out

The Lightest Yet

At 1,589 grams, the Epic 9 frame is 129 grams lighter than any other full-suspension XC frame on the market. Every wall, every junction, every gram was accounted for

Less Resistance, More Control

Updated pivots and a redesigned link cut friction by 11% throughout the suspension system. Less resistance means the frame reacts faster, holds traction longer, and keeps the rider in control through rough terrain

Three Modes, Any Terrain

Three rear shock settings, each tuned for a different race demand. Wide Open for descents and technical terrain. Magic Middle self-adjusts between pedaling efficiency and active suspension. Sprint-On-Lock for smooth ground and pure power output

Tuned To You

Every size gets its own chainstay length for precise handling. A flip-chip at the bottom bracket lets riders adjust ride height to match their terrain without swapping parts
