Why We Like The Barra ChromaPop Polarized Sunglasses

Smith certainly styled the Barra Chromapop Polarized Sunglasses for the streets, there's no doubt about that, but subtle undertones really optimize these lenses for fishing. The Chromapop lenses filter two specific, unwanted wavelengths of light that cause eye fatigue and color confusion in order to deliver greater definition and popping colors. The skies will look bluer, the grass greener, and the lake will be all the more beautiful when we pull a rainbow trout out of the water. Smith treated the backside of each lens to reduce glare when we're fishing away from the sunlight.

Lenses are great, not good for outdoors in heat

The second your nose starts sweating, they will slide. Not great for hot days on boats, or wearing them outside when hot. Lenses are great and I believe in their lens tech, just the functionality is not good esp. for the price. I highly recommend Smith Optics to consider making cycling-style frames for fishermen in hotter climates.

Broke after one drop

Wore these twice, dropped once and they broke. I’m not a tall guy and these broke after they fell off my hat onto an LVP floor. They weren’t slammed on the ground or sat on. They are pretty bulky and have a very small, plastic connection point to the hinge which is where they snapped. This is my 3rd pair of Smith sunglasses and my previous ones took way more abuse both on and off the river.

No more sunglasses for women/smaller faces!

Such a bummer that all the Smith sunglasses are for dudes/large size now. Wish they still made the Purist!

Go to sunglasses!

Finally found the sunglasses that work well for me. Great coverage without looking like a hard core mountaineering or fishing guide sunglass. Great construction. I think I'm now on my fourth pair and will continue getting them.

New Barra Sunglasses

Good day, I am usually a very proud owner of Smith Optics, however my most recent purchase has led me to question the quality control that Smith does. I recently had a pair of my sunglasses replaced due to wear and tear on the sunglasses. However when I received my newest set the bolt/screw on the left arm continuously works itself out of the hole. I have gotten close to losing it entirely a few times already. Can this be corrected? Do I need to complete an entire replacement form again due to manufacturing issues? Please let me know what the following procedure is. Thank you DA

Just buy them, life is better with good views

I love Smiths, and I’ve had a couple of different styles, but I’d say by far the Barra have been the favorite! Had a pair break after they flew off my head while fishing, customer service was on it!! Love the product and the people you have in the mix!! I appreciate y’all helping me find fish easier!!
