The Silca Sicuro Ti Screws are the hardware upgrade every serious build deserves

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"Hardware is where a lot of otherwise exceptional builds give themselves away, and the Silca Sicuro Ti Screws are the answer to that problem at the cage position. The Swiss lathe machining and roll-formed threads are not marketing language, they produce a measurably more precise and stronger fastener than you get from off-the-shelf titanium hardware, and the flange head geometry genuinely improves load distribution at the mounting interface in a way that matters over thousands of miles of road vibration. These go on every build I touch."

There is a point in every serious build where the components are sorted and the fit is dialed, and what remains is the hardware. Most riders accept whatever bolts came in the box, but the Silca Sicuro Ti Screws exist for the builder who understands that fastener quality is not a marginal consideration when those fasteners are holding a loaded bottle cage through tens of thousands of road vibration cycles.

Each screw is machined complete in a single operation from 6Al/4V titanium on a Swiss lathe, which is the same grade and process used for aerospace and high-end framebuilding hardware. Single-operation machining eliminates the tolerance stacking that occurs when parts are rechucked between operations, producing a more dimensionally consistent fastener across the full thread length. The threads themselves are roll-formed rather than cut, which aligns the material grain structure along the thread profile rather than severing it, resulting in a stronger thread that is more resistant to fatigue failure under dynamic load.

The flange head geometry is the detail that separates the Sicuro from standard low-profile titanium hardware. The flange distributes clamping load across nearly three times the surface area of a cap screw and more than twice the surface area of a button head, which reduces stress concentration at the mounting point and increases the rigidity of the cage interface over time. The 4mm head height keeps clearance tight against the cage body, the T25 Torx drive prevents cam-out during installation and removal, and each screw comes in at 1.8 grams for a four-screw pack weight that represents a meaningful saving over steel hardware at a position where every gram is cantilevered away from the frame. For builders who finish their work completely, the Sicuro Ti Screws are the last detail that needed solving.
