Alba 2 Mega Cycling Shoe

If you show up to a Competitive team group ride, a quick glance will leave you with one solid impression: we're partial to Sidi shoes. The unwavering stiffness and supple uppers never seem to fall short of our expectations, and the Alba 2 Mega Cycling shoes drive that home in a wider package that delivers a comfortable fit for those of us with feet that are far form the slender Italian profile of Sidi's standard fit. The Alba 2 Cycling Shoes offer the stiffness of carbon, reliable support, and supple uppers we covet from Sidis, but with a much more accommodating price tag. When value is a must, these shoes provide a platform that won't waiver while you ride, and all without shrinking your bike upgrade budget for the year. Plus — it doesn't hurt that they feature stunning aesthetics and the emblematic styling that's signature of Sidi.

The upper consist of a material known as Politex and it fits your feet like only a high-end pair of shoes from an Italian footwear firm can. Its construction features several overlapping layers with different properties that are compacted into two fabrics, a knitted fabric and felt, that's then dyed for long-lasting color retention. In addition to fitting well and providing excellent breathability, Politex is very durable and resists ripping, tearing, stretching and fading. Two hook-and-loop straps near the front of the foot combined with Sidi's Tecno-3 retention system makes it easy to tighten up the kicks just before the county line sprint. The Tecno-3 system is very similar to the dials featured on other high-end shoes with micro-adjustable widgets adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. The wire material is non-binding for quick and effortless adjustments on the fly. Sidi is well known for serviceability and the buckles are replaceable if needed.

On the bottom of the shoe, Sidi uses its Millennium 4 carbon composite sole which is lightweight, much appreciated on the climbs, and directs all of the pedaling energy into the pedals, perfect for the sprints. The sole is much stiffer than full nylon ones typically featured on shoes at this price point. An anti-slip toe insert and replaceable polyurethane heel pad, improve walkability and add overall durability. The Sidi Alba road shoes are compatible with all 3-hole road cleats and pedals and utilize Look's Memory Eyelets for easy cleat alignment and replacement down the road.

Size chart not accurate

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
45
Height:
5' 8"
Weight:
175

The chart said to order a 45 for size 10.5 but the shoe was way too big. I would say it's a half size, possibly a full size bigger than what they say. Also, unless you have a very very wide foot these will not fit you. I thought I had a wide foot when it came to road shoes but man was I wrong. These were huge in width as well but a good thing if you do really have a wide foot.
