Waterproof cycling protection has always involved tradeoffs, and the Showers Pass Century Jacket is the most serious effort yet to eliminate them. The Artex Gold Ultra 2.5-layer construction delivers fully seam-sealed waterproofness at just 250 grams in a size medium, achieving 2.5 times the water resistance of the previous generation while simultaneously reducing weight and improving packability. The lighter nylon face fabric is softer and quieter in motion without sacrificing the abrasion resistance needed for real riding conditions, and the textured microprint half-layer brings a meaningfully improved feel against a base layer on long efforts.

The cycling-specific architecture addresses every failure point of a general-purpose rain shell on the bike. Extended arm length maintains full coverage in an aggressive position, the shortened front panel eliminates the bunching that plagues standard jackets when leaned over the bars, and the drop-tail delivers rear coverage at speed without excess material. XL core vents and a dedicated rear vent create genuine flow-through ventilation for high-output riding, while adjustable cuffs provide additional airflow control on demand. High-quality water-resistant zippers seal every opening, a chest clip manages flap when descending unzipped, and 360-degree Scotchlite reflective trims maintain visibility in low light conditions. The entire jacket compresses into its own rear pocket for on-bike carry.
