Built for sends, the Apollo Limited Edition Brage Vestavik Saddle earns its place on serious rigs

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I've run the Apollo Limited Edition Brage Vestavik Saddle on a full-travel enduro build and a hardtail dirt jumper, and it performs on both. The wider nose is a real functional upgrade — it gives you something to actually grab when you're in the air or setting up for a manual. The I-Beam version keeps the install clean if your post is already set up for it, and the saddle sits low enough that it doesn't interfere with your movement at all."

Freeride and dirt jump riding are unforgiving on every contact point, and the saddle is no exception. The SDG Apollo Limited Edition Brage Vestavik Saddle was developed collaboratively with Brage Vestavik — a rider whose background spans both competitive downhill and full-commitment big mountain freeriding — to address the specific demands that gravity-oriented riding places on a saddle. The result is a platform that prioritizes function in the air and on impact, without adding unnecessary bulk to the package.

At its core, the Apollo Limited Edition Brage Vestavik Saddle shares the compact shell geometry of SDG's Patriot DH saddle, a proven shape in gravity disciplines. Key departures include a reinforced PU foam layer calibrated for impact resistance, and a purposefully wider nose that provides a meaningful contact surface for pinching the saddle between the knees during jumps, technical compressions, and trail features where bike control in the air matters. The flat forward platform geometry supports movement across the saddle without resistance, which keeps positioning intuitive whether a rider is sitting through a pump track or standing into a drop. The two-piece stitched synthetic leather cover resists moisture absorption in wet conditions and stands up to the abrasion that comes with aggressive riding.
