Tunnel tested and race ready, the Cadence Helmet is built without compromise

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Scott Cadence Helmet sits at the top of Scott's road helmet lineup for good reason. The MIPS Air Node integration is one of the cleaner implementations I've seen, sitting flush in the padding without the slight looseness you sometimes feel with traditional MIPS liners. At 280 grams with legitimate wind-tunnel aero optimization and the included vent plugs for cold-weather versatility, this is a helmet that performs at the level the price tag suggests."

Aerodynamic efficiency in a road helmet isn't just about a smooth outer shell. It's about managing airflow precisely so that cooling and speed work together rather than against each other. The Scott Cadence Helmet was developed through extensive wind-tunnel testing with that balance as the central objective, producing a profile that minimizes drag at race pace while the optimized internal ventilation system moves enough air to keep core temperature manageable across long, hard efforts.

The in-mold construction bonds a polycarbonate micro shell directly to the EPS foam liner, producing a helmet that is structurally rigid, lightweight at 280 grams, and clean in its external profile without the seams and layering of traditional construction methods. The new MIPS Air Node brain protection system represents a meaningful upgrade over conventional MIPS liner technology, integrating the rotational impact management system directly into the helmet's padding rather than as a separate floating layer. The result is a more precise, lower-profile fit that maintains the helmet's aerodynamic geometry while delivering the oblique impact protection that MIPS is engineered to provide.

Included front vent plugs give riders direct control over the airflow and aero profile tradeoff, sealing the leading vents for maximum aerodynamic efficiency in time trial or race conditions, or in cold weather where heat retention matters. Sunglasses storage windows integrated into the helmet structure keep lenses protected and accessible without requiring a separate case or jersey pocket. CPSC 16 CFR Part 1203 certification covers road, cross-country, and gravel use cases, making the Cadence a legitimate single-helmet solution for riders who compete and train across multiple disciplines.
