What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The SuperClamp G3 is one of the most efficient bike racks I’ve used. The dual shepherd’s hooks keep my bikes super secure without touching the frame, and the tilting mechanism makes getting into the trunk effortless. It’s impressively lightweight for its strength, and the integrated locks give me peace of mind when stopping along the way. Perfect for road trips, trail days, and e-bike transport."
Designed for cyclists who demand both security and convenience, the SuperClamp G3 2-Bike Hitch Rack offers a premium transport solution. Its innovative dual-wheel clamping system ensures a firm hold without making contact with the bike frame, making it ideal for carbon, e-bikes, and high-end road bikes. With a 60lb per bike capacity, it handles everything from lightweight race bikes to heavy-duty mountain rigs.
The platform-style design provides stability, while the tilting feature allows full access to the vehicle’s rear without removing the bikes. Integrated locks secure both the rack and bikes, ensuring peace of mind whether parked at the trailhead or on a cross-country trip. Hook portion difficult to slide up/down
When I first bought the SuperClamp, the hook portion was difficult to slide up and down, even with attempts to apply various lubricants. I contacted Saris and they immediately sent replacement arms (thank you!) With the new arms, everything worked well for over a year. But now, I'm having the same problem as before -- the hook portion is difficult to slide up/down. I think the plastic does not work well with the metal. Also, as others have mentioned, there is a considerable amount of sway. Though the bikes/racks appear secure, it is still very disconcerting to observe in the rear-view mirror!

Universal for All Bikes
I have both the 2 and 4 bike hitch rack. I need this as I have a graphite shaft bike and can only clamp on the wheels. The great versatility allows for carrying any none e-bike. This rack allows for the ability to interchange out the wheel saddles for wider ones if need for fat tire bikes. It's made in the USA and rock solid performance. I use it to haul my bikes to several states with no issues.

Great rack, sun sensitive
I really like this bike rack. This is my 4th. Two were damaged in collisions (they do get backed into by other cars, just FYI), and the other one partially disintegrated while carrying a bike (the bike fell off while the car was moving and of course it was damaged). Now you would think because of that I wouldn't buy another but I really like the set up. It is SO easy to use with minimum fussing over straps, etc. I do put the arms up now when I park so people can see the thing, which is a minor irritant, but I've tried other bike racks and just didn't like all the straps and steps to secure the bike. I'm hoping this one doesn't deteriorate in the sun like the other one. If it does, I'll be in touch with Saris. However, don't let this stop you from getting this rack. It's great.

Good quality construction
I’ve had this bike rack for a little over three years now. Keep in garaged for the most part but have had no issues with its performance. I’m sure it will stand the test of time.

Light and easy
I bought the Super clamp ES two by kitchen due to its light weight. It did not disappoint! It is lightweight and easy to use!

Almost Perfect
I like that is is pretty light, and I like that it secures the tires & not on the carbon frame. However, the tire hooks are sometimes a little sticky/stubborn and temperamental to release. The lock cables are heftier than previous racks, but they are still a tad short. You really could have given 6 more inches - or maybe that wouldn't fit inside???

The Greatest Bike Rack Yet Made!
To this date the rack has worked well. I had to tighten the bolt that connects the rack to the hitch, that's about it. It takes some practice learning to use the thing....at this point I load the bike quickly. I purchased two months ago. So far nothing horribly wrong!

Nice rack
I've had this for about a year. I have a 70s street bike (Fuji) and an 80s hybrid (Trek). This is a heavy rack but not necessarily heavy-duty. In the time I've owned it, the plastic components have broken. The wheel holder I couldn't fix as it bears the weight of the bike, so I ordered another one. The clamp I was able to epoxy back together. This bike rack cannot withstand being dropped from bumper height. Ask me how I know.

Looking to replace after 18 months
Pros: - Felt sturdy when new, especially with hitch tightener. For example, bikes didn't wiggle at all on the highway (relative to vehicle) - Integrated bike lock feature is nice, although I wish the cables were a little longer Cons: - Ratcheting arms wore out quickly, and now swing freely rather than locking to hold wheels. At this point only a little friction between the hooks and the ties is keeping them in place which is not adequate or safe. - Modern trail/enduro mtn bikes (with their long wheelbases) don't fit well into the wheel trays, even with the trays extended as far as possible - As with any tray style carrier, it is difficult to fully load with 3-4 bikes due to all the overlapping bike parts in space and awkward lifting. I wish I had bought a vertical hanging style rack like Vel**axx, L**o, A**a, etc. (redactions mine, not sure if allowed or in good taste to directly mention other brands) - Working with the wheel straps as designed can be a pain, as you must lift the bikes in juuuust so, then reach around and through to tighten, etc. - The mechanism for lowering the rack to access rear vehicle gate requires some acrobatic reaching and stretching to use, especially when the rack is loaded with bikes. I gave up and don't use this feature. Vehicle rear gate is simply off limits when the rack is in use.

One of the best racks available
Can't believe this holds 60lb bikes for how light it is! Super versatile and easy to adjust. Love this rack.

It looks like it might be challenging to secure two different size bikes on the same arm. Is that accurate? I have two kids ages 11 and 9 with different size bikes…if my wife and I use one arm for our bikes, can I secure the kids bikes on the other one?

Does the rack fold up when not in use, so it takes up less space? I see it tilts away.

Do you guys sell replacement tire holders? My car got hit with the bike rack on it, and all that broke off was the plastic piece that holds the bike wheel in place. I would like to get a replacement for it without having to buy a new bike rack.

The metal catch that keeps one of the arms from swinging back wore out. Can I buy that metal chuck or do I need to buy the whole replacement arm? Everything else is working great. I'm kind of thinking I could grind it into shape but wanted to check first.
