Nice helmet but not for my round head
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I really like the look and design of this helmet but unfortunately it just doesn't fit my round head properly. My head is 58 cm and the sides were too tight but plenty of space in the forehead and back of the helmet. If I get a large, the sides would probably fit but the gaps between the helmet and front of the forehead and back of the head would be way too big. POC is a Swedish company and the quality looks very good but I have a feeling it is designed for oval heads. Real bummer because I now have to pay to ship it back.

Feels and fits great!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I had originally ordered the POC Omne Air Spin Helmet but the straps were short and right on my ears and not comfortable. This helmet has fixed that issue by lowering the ear strap and it fits great!

Nice helmet with unforgiveable flaw
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Great helmet other than the terrible strap design that leaves the hard plastic rubbing on the bottom of your ear. Didn't even get on the road and it was already annoying. Bummer as it seems like a great helmet otherwise.

POC saves my skull. Again.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Had a multi-bike crash over the weekend, slammed my head on the pavement, dented the shell and foam, but was able to complete the ride without any ill effects to brain or [kind of] body. This is the 2nd time a POC helmet has saved me from some serious damage. Ordered another one when I got home. Also, the straps are fully adjustable, they just take some work.

Retention system not adjustable
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Unfortunately the strap retention system is not height adjustable like on Giros and other brands- only a knob to adjust the tension. It sits directly on the occipital bun and is a very uncomfortable fit. I'm returning it and replacing with another Giro since they have the best adjustability.

Best bike helmet ever
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Love this helmet. Super light. You don't even feel it is on. Doesn't make your head look like a mushroom the way the older POC ones did. I can also see perfectly as it is high enough. Perfect ventilation. I found it ran large so originally ordered a Medium which I sent back. When I received the Small after my return it was a great fit. Well worth the extra money.

Fantastic 'Daily Driver'
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is the helmet that I reach for most days. POC did a great job with venting across the forehead, something that my Specialized & Bontrager helmets struggle with. When I'm doing short, hard efforts; this helmet doesn't drip into my eyes and keeps me cool. On long days out, the lightweight and sunglass grippers keep it comfortable all day long. I can't say enough good things about my Ventral Air! A few notes: - POCs are sized a bit smaller than some other brands - measure your melon. - the padding/venting is designed to float away from the helmet, so don't jam your head into a smaller size
