The Knog x POC Amidal Helmet Light is the visibility upgrade your Amidal needs

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I have been using the Knog x POC Amidal Helmet Light on my early morning road rides and the difference in driver behavior is noticeable compared to a standard seatpost light. The COB LED output is punchy for how small it is, ECO flash mode is genuinely good for 26 hours of runtime, and the USB-A charging means I can top it off at my desk between rides without hunting for a proprietary cable."

Visibility on the road is a function of timing. A light mounted low on a seatpost is easy for a driver to miss until they are already close, particularly in congested traffic where other vehicles, road furniture, and ambient lighting create visual noise at that level. Moving your rear light to the back of your helmet elevates it into cleaner sightlines and puts it at a height that registers earlier in peripheral vision. The Knog x POC Amidal Helmet Light was designed around exactly that principle, and its integration with the POC Amidal makes the execution seamless.

Knog engineered the light with Chip On Board COB LEDs that deliver 30 lumens on High Flash and 10 lumens on Steady-On, covering the range from aggressive high-visibility commuting to longer endurance efforts where battery conservation matters more. The four modes include High steady, Low steady, High flash, and ECO flash, the last of which extends runtime to 26 hours. For riders who train on a weekly schedule, that means multiple sessions between charges. The integrated USB-A connector eliminates the need for a dedicated cable, and the medical grade silicone strap holds the light firmly against the Amidal's rear port without flex or rotation under movement. Full waterproofing and an operating range down to -20°C round out the spec for year-round use.

At 17 grams the Knog x POC Amidal Helmet Light adds nothing meaningful to your setup, but for riders who commute, train in shoulder seasons, or simply refuse to cut a ride short because the sun went down, it is one of the most practical additions you can make to your kit.
