Pirelli built the Scorpion Race Downhill T on a DualWALL+ casing, a 60 TPI double-ply carcass with a rubber bead insert and an added sidewall fabric layer, engineered specifically for downhill and enduro's most demanding loads. At 1450g in the 29x2.5 size, this tire trades weight for structural support rather than chasing a lighter claimed number. The SmartEVO DH compound, a supersoft 42 Shore A formulation developed with input from downhill and enduro PRO athletes, delivers the traction to match that casing's stability.
