13mm - 28mm Shop Cone Wrench
Perhaps no other cycling tool is quite as iconic as the 13mm - 28mm Shop Cone Wrench from Park Tool. Often replicated, never duplicated, these Cone Wrenches are shop-grade quality and promise years of trouble-free performance. Park designs the "Y" head with more material where it's needed for strength and durability and its precise sizing and a military grade industrial phosphate finish ensure a snug fit and corrosion resistance. It's built thin for use on the narrowest of adjusting cones and its vinyl-dipped handle in signature Park blue for comfortable use.

A must have for mechanics ...
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Like it or not, not every new wonder bike has wheels with sealed bearings. Every once in awhile, you will need to work on hubs with loose balls and cones ... and when that happens these will be invaluable. Sold per piece, in the most common sizes 13-16mm you should consider buying two. Personally, I have two across the board.

Use on Espresso Machine OPV valve
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Yes this tool fits the narrow 20mm adjustable nuts on the Ranchilio Silvia espresso machine OPV valve. Its what adjusts the pressure/bars on the machine! I'm sure others here own the Silvia as all cyclist like espresso! other wrenches are tool large to work so these narrow wrenches work well

- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
If you have Zee or saint hubbs the 28mm is a must have for the front cones, works so well, no more cones loosening when you have this tool!

I am trying to put together a tool kit for Mt Biking that I will carry in my truck for pre/post rides and to do minor work at home as needed. With that said, what are the top tools I should have on hand.

Got Saint?
As axles get bigger, so do the cones that go around them. The 28mm is a have-to-have if you're running a Saint front hub, or some other Shimano hub for 20mm axles. My Saint front hub used to have a chronic loosening issue. Once I invested in the right tool to fix it(which more than one bike shop I went to neglected to have), I've only had to use it twice. The second time because I made it too tight first time around. But that's why I buy a tool...in hopes of needing it less. This wrench even makes my small travel tool kit and goes on every trip my dh rig does. Bottom line: Necessity
