The Cosmic SLR 45 Wheel LTD Silver from Mavic applies the same aerodynamic and structural engineering found in the standard Cosmic SLR 45 to a refined silver finish that distinguishes it visually without compromising a single performance specification. At 1480 grams for the pair, the weight sits in a range that balances meaningful rotating mass savings with the structural integrity required for sustained high-output riding across varied road surfaces.

The rim is constructed from 100% carbon fiber with a UD external layer and measures 45mm in height with a 23mm internal width. That wider profile creates a tighter tire-to-rim transition that reduces aerodynamic turbulence at the leading edge and allows lower tire pressures without sacrificing rolling efficiency, improving both speed and road feel simultaneously. FORE technology screws the stainless steel spokes directly into the rim at an optimized angle, eliminating spoke movement under load and contributing to the overall stiffness of the system. Adaptive Layup carbon reinforcement strengthens the rim at key stress points while keeping the upper flange unpierced, which produces a fully airtight structure that makes tubeless setup straightforward and reliable.
