The 23mm internal width paired with the 50mm profile keeps the wheel aerodynamically effective in crosswinds while the 21 Mavic Aero Carbon spokes, laced 14 crossed on the high-stress side and 7 radial on the opposite, maintain tension balance across the full spoke bed.
