Sleek and powerful.
Floor pumps are one of those invisible pieces of cycling gear that most of us tend to take for granted, but are integral to the sport. The fact that we tend not to think about pumps doesn't diminish their importance, but if you have a pump of the Lezyne CNC Drive ABS-2 Floor Pump's caliber, you'll really want to use it at every opportunity.
The CNC Drive is a premium floor pump from Lezyne. As the name implies, it features a fully CNC-machined aluminum construction: barrel, piston, base, handle, and oversized 3.5in gauge for easy readout of pressure. It includes Lezyne's ABS1 Pro, which accommodates both Presta and Schrader valves. The ABS1 Pro has an air-bleed button for fine-tuning your tire pressure, as well as an integrated valve core wrench for regular maintenance.

Looks great but severely annoying
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
See the other reviews about how the convoluted head removes valve stems. I finally pulled the head off this and stuck a Silca chuck and hose adapter on this for just $60 more and now it works well. Obviously you should get a Silca Pista and skip the extra steps.

Great tool to remove valve stems
This isn't easy to thread on, and when it does it often removes the valve stem when you take it off. I've had it too long to return so I'm just going back to flip type pumps. It is a total waste of money

Terrible Pump
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've been using this pump for almost a year now. It works about 50% of the time. It is so frustrating to buy a higher end pump and have it cause more problems then solutions. The last time I used it the presta valve came off my bike. This is not a user friendly pump. I don't recommend it if you want an easy to use off the shelf product. I have three bikes and ride almost everyday, so I am not a "once in a while" rider.

Great valve core remover... bad pump
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
First off... don't buy this pump, there are way to many other good options. The only problem (and it's a big one) is the head. When the pump works.. it works great. But, it can be difficult to attach if you're in a hurry or your valve is a little grimy. Once it is attached, there is always this first pump where the gauge goes way up, then it feels like a seal breaks and the air equalizes between tire and pump... I've learned to live with that. What I can't live with is that if your valve cores are not tightened down with pliers, this pump with remove your core EVERY TIME. There is nothing more frustrating than when you think you're about to jump on the trail and then all the air comes rushing out of your tube or tire. The only reason I didn't throw this pump off a bridge out of anger is that I never lost a bead the few times this happened. It's just a bad design on an expensive pump which is inexcusable. I don't know why I keep buying Lezyne products. They suck.... I think they make stuff for people who don't really ride bikes or work on them, and just think they are trendy.
