The Lake CX333 Cycling Shoe is built for that exact moment. Constructed on Lake's CX/TX RACE last, a geometry purpose-designed for high-speed road riding, the CX333 positions the foot for efficient, aggressive output from the opening effort to the final sprint. Lake has spent decades refining race footwear, and the CX333 represents the upper end of that lineage.

The upper is crafted from Klite Kangaroo leather, a material that offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and a natural ability to conform to the shape of the foot without stretching out or losing structure over time. The leather lining reinforces that molded feel while keeping the interior smooth against the skin on long efforts. Underfoot, the Lake Race 100% carbon fiber sole provides a stiffness platform that transfers power directly and completely, with zero energy lost to flex. The Carbitex arch support panel adds targeted reinforcement in the midfoot, and the heat-moldable Thermaform carbon fiber heel counter can be customized to each rider's anatomy for a rear-foot fit that eliminates any movement under load. The BOA® Fit System with Li2 dials gives independent control over instep and forefoot tension, making it possible to fine-tune fit between warm-up and race start, or to make adjustments on the fly during longer road events.

The CX333 is 3-bolt cleat compatible, making it a natural pairing with Look Kéo or Shimano SPD-SL systems commonly used in road and crit racing. Riders building a high-output race setup around stiff carbon pedal platforms will find the CX333 sole a well-matched complement to that system.
