    Solid rack ...after assembly

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

EDIT: spoke with customer service and they have updated their assembly manual and sent me a copy to review... MUCH better. Bumped up to 5 stars as it is a solid rack and expandable should you need to add another bike. +++ Picked this rack based upon the reputation of Kuat and in hopes that a single rack wouldn’t cover my rear backup camera on a Jeep Wrangler. While it does cover the camera I still like the minimalist design and the functionality of not touching the frame while keeping your bike secure. Docked a star because of the assembly manual. The pieces and parts are not labeled ...and in some cases the pictures bear no resemblance to the actual pieces (e.g. spacers are flat not cylindrical). Not knowing which screw is a M90 vs M60 can lead to installing the wrong bolt, which unfortunately also works/fits. You then have to deduce and backtrack to remove and then reassemble. Explanatory notes point to “page 18” ...but it only goes up to 14 pages. Surprised that an A+ rack would have a C- assembly manual. That said, you can muddle through it and you will likely be happy you did when completed.

    Nice rack !

    I've used it several times

Assembly was a breeze as long as you followed the manual. I was skeptical about the design how it doesn’t touch the frame as my previous rack did, but after a few first uses I have been pleasantly suprised. Bike doesn’t move around and seems secure .

What is the weight capacity of Transfer 1 bike rack?

Hi Steve, the Transfer 21 holds up to a 40lb bike.

1.15 receiver size? Will it work with a 1.25?

Hi Rand, that's a typo in our listing, this will fit 1.25" hitch receivers.
