Rear-facing radar placement is not a detail to compromise on. The effectiveness of a Garmin Varia or Wahoo Trackr depends on having a clear, rear-facing position that allows the unit to detect approaching vehicles and remain visible to traffic. A seat post mount works on straightforward builds, but aero seat posts, dropper posts, integrated seat post designs, and saddle bags all create scenarios where that position is blocked, unavailable, or simply not optimal. The KOM Cycling Saddle Rail Mount for Rear Radars solves each of those scenarios by relocating the attachment point to the saddle rails and positioning the radar directly beneath the saddle.

The mount is built around a 69mm wide rail clamp and a 25mm pivoting extender arm, a combination that provides meaningful adjustability for dialing in radar angle and position across different saddle geometries and rail configurations. The mount installs on either the vertical or horizontal sections of the saddle rails, which matters on saddles where one orientation fits the hardware clearances of a given setup better than the other. An included oversized spacer extends compatibility to 9mm and 10mm rails beyond the standard sizing, and integrated rubber safety shims sit between the clamp and the rail surface to distribute clamping force and protect both alloy and carbon rails from marking or damage.

The polycarbonate main body keeps the assembly lightweight without introducing flex that would allow the radar to shift position under load or vibration. Compatible with the Garmin Varia via the included black disc and the Wahoo Trackr via the blue disc, the mount covers the two most widely used radar systems on the market in a single adjustable platform.
