K-EdgeStem Mount for Garmin Computers - Adjustable
Item # KEG000A
Stem Mount for Garmin Computers
Your Garmin cost a small fortune and you take it on all your rides. But, how many times do you cringe when you hit a bump or pothole? Those little rubber o-rings and plastic mounts never seem to be quite strong enough. And, you want to take it on all your mountain bike rides to record every detail of your life on a bike. The K-Edge Stem Mount - adjustable for the Garmin Computer makes that pesky plastic mount obsolete and secures your Garmin for any road or trail.
Unlike K-Edge's handlebar mounts, the K-Edge Stem Mount fits above the stem directly on the steerer tube. It fits a standard 1 1/8-inch steerer tube. It replaces a standard 5mm spacer, and it locked securely in place by the top compression cap. This model features an adjustable tilt and is best suited for stems that have a 20degree rise or drop. The mount works well with larger Garmin devices such as the 510 or 810. It was initially designed with mountain biking in mind, but is equally ideal for triathlon and other cycling disciplines where hydration systems, maps, or bags may take up handlebar space.
Designed from CNC machined aluminum platform, it also features an injection molded polymer interface with the recognizable locking point and the distinctive "click" when the Garmin is securely engaged. It is compatible with all quarter-turn Garmin Edge computer and may be oriented for the Forerunner 310XT. It is not compatible with the 901Xt however.
The K-Edge Stem Mount - adjustable for Garmin Computers is available in Red, Gunmetal, and Black.
- CNC-machined aluminum

Straight forward and simple. A better mount than the traditional Garmin options, including the out-front handlebar mount when you're mounting this to a mountain bike. The only downside would be that you have to mount it at the top of your steerer tube for the computer (I have a 530) to mount. If you have any steerer tube length above this mount, it won't fit. I originally wanted the computer to be flush with my stem, but I had to leave an extra 5mm spacer under this mount for my computer to mount.

Does Not Work on my bike
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- True to size
I contacted my Gear Head and told them what bike I have and which computer I have. They said this would work with my setup. I installed the stem mount and immediately knew it would not work. You must have a flat stem or very little rise for this to work with the larger computers. I have an Edge 830.

yass
I use the K-Edge stem mount on my mtn bike and I use the out-in-front handlebar mount for my road bike. I think the stem mount will protect the Garmin if(when) I crash which will most likely happen on the mtn bike. If you don’t know how to properly install a stem on a mtn bike, I would make sure you read the instructions before installing. It’s very durable and should outlast the useful like of my bikes. I would highly recommend.

Great on my F8

It integrates perfectly on top of the stem. I have about 2500+ miles on it, and I have never had any problems with it. It is sleek and well integrated. It took about 4-5 rides to acclimate myself to looking at my Garmin closer from the forward position, but it holds my Garmin 1000 great and out the way on my Enve aero handle bars.

great mount but needs some lock tight
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Use mine on my mountain bike, seems solid and you can tighten the hinge bolt enough to where you can still adjust the computer angle without it slipping back to the flat position. The bad news is after light use in its first season the hinge bolt worked itself out and the computer and upper half of the k-edge fell off in a race. (lucky me someone found it). Going to contact k-edge for a replacement bolt and I will put lock tight on it this time. Should be a 5-star product then. Side note- my road bike k-edge lost a critical bolt as well in its first season with light use. Sensing a trend....
