Lightweight Ripley SL Eagle 90 Mountain Bike with dw-link suspension and SRAM Eagle Transmission
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Ripley SL Eagle 90 strikes a rare balance between race-day efficiency and real trail composure. The dw-link suspension delivers excellent anti-squat for climbing, while the 130mm fork and modern geometry add confidence on descents. It’s a versatile option for riders who want one bike that can handle speed and technical terrain."
The Ripley SL Eagle 90 Mountain Bike is engineered for riders who demand speed, efficiency, and precision from a lightweight platform. Built around a handcrafted carbon frame and dw-link suspension, the bike delivers 117mm of controlled rear travel that maximizes pedaling performance while maintaining traction and stability on uneven terrain.
Paired with a 130mm fork, the Ripley SL offers balanced handling that feels quick on climbs and confident when descending. The geometry supports efficient seated pedaling positions while remaining stable at higher speeds, making it well suited for endurance racing, long trail rides, and aggressive cross-country riding.
Component choices emphasize reliability and compatibility. A SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission drivetrain ensures consistent shifting under load, while powerful disc brakes provide confident stopping control. Integrated Ibis STOW storage adds on-bike carrying capacity without clutter, rounding out a refined, purpose-built bike for riders who value efficiency without compromise.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

Sungrown In California
The Ripley SL is manufactured in Ibis’ 100% solar-powered California facility, where carbon layups, tolerances, and finishes are controlled in-house. That hands-on process delivers consistent quality, a refined ride feel, and confidence baked into every frame.

117mm, Dialed DW-Link
Short travel does not mean short on capability. The 117mm dw-link suspension is tuned for efficiency under power while staying composed when the trail gets rough, giving the Ripley SL a fast, controlled feel that rewards smooth lines and hard efforts.

Race-Weight Carbon Frame
At just 5 pounds with shock, the Ripley SL frame keeps overall bike weight low without chasing fragility. The result is a lively, responsive ride that accelerates quickly and feels easy to manage on long climbs and full days in the saddle.

Dialed STOW Storage
Integrated Ibis STOW frame storage keeps tools, snacks, and essentials tucked securely inside the downtube. Two purpose-built bags reduce rattle and wasted space, helping riders leave packs behind while keeping weight centered and out of the way.

Size-Specific Fit
Modern geometry and size-specific details help the Ripley SL deliver the same balanced, intuitive ride feel across the entire size range.
• Five sizes from Small through XL
• Steeper seat tube angles on larger sizes for consistent pedaling position
• Long dropper compatibility for confident descending
• Space for two bottles inside the front triangle on most sizes

Clean, Purpose-Built Setup
Thoughtful frame details make building and maintaining the Ripley SL straightforward and reliable.
• Threaded BSA bottom bracket for quiet, serviceable builds
• Integrated upper chain guide for added security
• Compatible with mechanical or wireless shifting
• Molded frame protection in high-impact zones

Built To Fly
Ibis Cycles started in 1981 when founder Scot Nicol opened a tiny workshop near Mendocino, California, with no big plan beyond building mountain bikes that were fun to ride and tough enough for the rough stuff. Today, from its home base in Santa Cruz, Ibis remains a small, rider-owned company focused on doing a few things really well: designing carbon and aluminum mountain bikes that climb efficiently, descend playfully, and feel lively every time you point them down the trail. With long-time owners and in-house engineering still deeply involved in the day-to-day, the brand stands for bikes that are light, durable, and above all, a blast to ride—whether you are racing, lapping local trails, or just chasing that next perfect corner.
