C5 Gore-Tex Glove

The best time to find Hero-Dirt on the trail is just after a light shower outside — but this often means you've got to commit to climbing through the storm to earn that tacky descent. While we would be hypocritical if we criticized you for charging into the rain in a lightweight polyester jersey and gloves, we're pretty confident that a pair of the Gore Wear C5 Gore-Tex Gloves would keep you in a much happier place. With a stretchy and comfortable shell that cuts the wind, and a wicking polyester lining with GoreTex membrane, your digits will stay delightfully dry when the rain starts falling, so you can focus on more important things ahead, like the winding switchbacks to the top.

Hate these gloves

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Fit is right, but shell material is sort of baggy. Not water proof at all. I wouldn't even say water repellent unless comparing to cotton. Terrible breathability. Hands never been so sweaty. Limited temp range. 52.5* might be the sweet spot for me, above that my hands get hot and sweat, below and they're cold.

Runs Small but Great Glove

I'm almost always a large and had to send these back for the XL. Outside of that GORE always makes a great product and I highly recommend these gloves for any cold weather riding.

Good waterproof glove

XL

It is my second pair. I lost one last year. Size up. I had to exchange from my normal L(Rapha, Assos) to XL and gloves still fit tight. Positive Well waterproofed. Not sure about longer rides but my hands stayed dry during multiple 1 hour commutes under pouring rain. Negative. Liner should be better attached to a shell. Pulling gloves on when wet or over Assos liner gloves is not fun at all. Limited use. Too warm above 10-15C and not warm enough bellow 5C without additional liner gloves.

Not worth the money

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

was really disapointed by these gloves. Rode my bike in 35 weather and fingers were freezing. Smart phone touch fingertips were abysmal. Never worked. Fingers were cumbersome, clunky, and not flexible (despite being advertised as good for biking). I tried on a pair in large, didnt fit, and ordered a medium thinking they would be better, but were not. Water resistant only plus. Poorly designed glove. You will need to buy a liner to make them decent for freezing temps, but that will only add to the clunky and cumbersome design.

Two modes: hot and damp or totally numb

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Possibly because my hands are naturally sweaty, these gloves tend to make my hands quite damp and warm in temperatures >40 degrees. Conversely, when it's cold outside (<30), my hands become totally numb. I don't think I'd purchase these again.

Well made glove!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I'm a big fan of Gore and their gear. This glove is no exception. It's great in the wet, and in a broad range from 50 down to 30's, its toasty without making your hands sweat. The fit is perfect, I have somewhat skinny fingers and a big palm so XL is great. I had a pair before but left them in a taxi in New York...was soooo bummed I bought a replacement pair. Back to being happy.
