The Chamber III Mountain Bike Shoe brings DH-grade stiffness to enduro and trail

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I've run the Chamber III across bike park laps and multi-stage enduro days and the tri-molded DH shank gives me the stiff platform I want when I'm pushing hard through technical features. The 10mm cleat setback makes a noticeable difference in pedal efficiency on sustained descents, and the Sensor rubber outsole holds grip on flat pedals even in wet conditions. The lace-and-strap closure system dials in easily and stays put through the roughest sections."

Enduro and downhill riding demand a shoe that can absorb punishment on the descent, hold up through a hike-a-bike, and still deliver clean power transfer when the trail opens back up. The Giro Chamber III Mountain Bike Shoe is built around exactly that sequence. Giro refined the Chamber platform for this iteration, shaving bulk and streamlining the profile without compromising the structural performance that aggressive riders depend on. The result is a shoe that's lighter and trimmer than its predecessors while remaining fully capable on demanding terrain.

At the core of the Chamber III's performance is the tri-molded DH shank, which creates a stiff and efficient platform for transferring power from foot to pedal. The 10mm cleat setback built into that system positions the foot further back over the axle, reducing fatigue on long descents and improving overall pedaling mechanics during sustained efforts. The Giro-designed Sensor rubber outsole provides reliable grip across flat pedal platforms, wet roots, rocky approaches, and loose dirt, giving riders confidence whether they're clipped in or scrambling on foot. A molded DH EVA footbed rounds out the underfoot package with targeted cushioning that holds up over full days in the saddle.

The water-resistant microfiber upper handles trail abuse without absorbing excess moisture, keeping the shoe light and functional through wet or muddy conditions. The low-bulk Airprene tongue maintains a streamlined profile against the top of the foot, reducing pressure points on technical terrain where foot position shifts constantly. The lace-and-hook-and-loop closure system allows riders to dial in fit precisely and lock it down before dropping into a run, with enough adjustability to accommodate different foot volumes and layering preferences across varying conditions. The Chamber III is 2-bolt cleat compatible, making it a direct fit for Shimano SPD systems and other standard mountain bike cleat platforms used across trail, enduro, and downhill disciplines.
