GiordanaAV 200 Winter Glove - Men's
Item # GIO007G
Hold the middle ground.
Giordana's AV glove line covers every part of the spectrum of winter cycling, and the breathable, windproof, and water-resistant AV 200 Winter Glove is arguably the most versatile member of the line. The 100 is lightweight enough for late autumn but will wilt if it's your only option come January, and the 300's "in case of ice age break glass" insulation is far too extreme for all but the winter-iest of winters. The AV 200 holds the middle ground, warming cyclists' paws during all but the warmest fall/spring days and the coldest depths of winter, making it the ideal bridge between knit-glove temperatures and those days that are bordering on too-cold-to-ride.
Where the AV 300 and Extreme gloves feature a hook-and-loop enclosure, the AV 200 gloves feature a pull-on cuff made of Blizzard fabric that's been given an Acqua Zero Eco treatment. This pairing results in a high-stretch, water-resistant seal that helps eliminate pernicious gaps between gloves and sleeves. At the other end, the middle and index fingers terminate in TouchTech panels for touchscreen compatibility, and the space between cuff and fingertips is embossed with strategically arrayed silicone grip to help maintain a grip on wintery hoods. The palms are finished with foam gel padding, and the thumb features a soft wiping panel for, you know, stuff.
- Cycling gloves for all but the deepest cold of winter
- Midweight insulation protected by a windproof shell
- Water-resistant and breathable for protection from all moisture
- Silicone grip palms and touchscreen compatible fingertips
- Stretch, water-resistant cuff creates a seal around the wrist

Great winter gloves
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
I use these for my daily 40 minute commute in Manhattan. I ride in the low 20s with these on and they work well. Sure, my hands are a little cold at these temps but I prefer these gloves to big bulky winter boxing gloves. Never had rain or road splatter penetrate either. Been using them for 6 months and they’re good as new

I bought these gloves to finish out winter and was pleasantly surprised by how well they handled early spring. The gloves are comfortable with long cuffs, solid padding, and a solid true-to-size fit. I'd say these are best for temps in the 40's to low 50's - definitely had my hands sweating once the weather reliably broke 50 degrees.

I wore these in temperatures in the low 40s, and my hands (fingers) were freezing. They were not better than my regular riding gloves.

Good mid-weight glove
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
An excellent glove for late fall and early spring riding, but not a true winter glove. Good mobility and wind resistance but lacks real insulation. Put the word "italian" before the word "winter" in the description and they are aptly named.

Set out in the morning at 36F. Fingers got a little cold, but when it warmed up a few degrees, and for the entire rest of the ride, the gloves were perfect. I never felt too hot or clammy. Very happy with them. My favorite aspect of these gloves is the fantastic gauntlet that perfectly covers sleeve or arm warmer.

Perfect
These gloves are the perfect weight for cycling into the low 30âs. The material has a soft wipe zone for your nose on cold days. Wouldnât change a thing!
