Put the final touch on your perfect cockpit with the FOX Racing Shox Transfer Dropper Seatpost Lever Assembly. Designed to pair with FOX's Transfer series of dropper post, this lever is conveniently available in two options to best fit your aesthetic and handlebar layout needs. The left side below bar mount sits similarly to a standard shift lever, adding clean symmetry to one-by systems. The left/right on bar mount sits how we most commonly think of dropper post levers, and provides clean integration with any shift system.

  • Two mounting options seamlessly integrate into your cockpit
  • Light actuation for quick dropper post response

Great to pair with your fox dropper

Still I find it hard to believe I had to buy this separately. Fox doesn't include one with the dropper post.

    Could be so much more

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have the Fox Factory dropper and why not pair it up with the Fox remote, seems simple right?

It gets the job done, but i feel the ergonomics could be much better and I wish they offered to integrate the clamp with Shimano or SRAM brake systems. One bonus is that it does come with housing and cable to finish up the install on your ride.

For a few bucks more I would simply order the Wolf Tooth Remote. Smoother action, multiple options for integrating with the brake clamp.

    Great So Far

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have not had any problems with this lever so far. The lever is easy to install and is pretty minimal. Jut so you know, the cable bushing required to set up your transfer post is included with the post not the lever.

    meh

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is kind of sad that this piece goes with such an amazing dropper post. It doesn't feel all that great and it is so expensive for what you get!

Stay Away - Buy A Wolftooth

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Works fine until the clamp breaks. Using a torque wrench I've busted the clamp on two of these. Buyer beware! Buy a Wolftooth!

Works, but crude & outdated ergonomics

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It will do the job of integrating with your 1x setup and serving to activate your dropper, but it's definitely a bit archaic. Ergonomics fall way short of a SRAM shifter or even a Shimano shifter. The lever also has a lot of lateral play around the pivot, so you need to make sure when you install it that you give it enough clearance from your brake level assembly because it skews upward when you press it. Also the tiny bolt spec on the fastener for the bar has started to wear on me.

    Great Dropper Post Switch

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

We got this to go with the fox dropper post and it works great. I got it for my son after he made the mountain bike team at his high school. He is super excited to be able to adjust his seat height on the fly. Thanks competitive cyclist for such a quick delivery and great customer service!!!

    Update: Doesn't Hold Up

My initial impressions were that this would be a great lever and it was until it recently broke. After only 4 months of riding, it developed a crack at the pivot (see picture). I can expect this to happen to a generic lever, but not something costing $65 from a name-brand company like Fox.

Matt's right - get a Wolf Tooth ReMote. You'll be much happier, as I am.

      It works, but........

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The good: It works and does what it is supposed to do. Fits nicely underneath the brake like a Front D shifter. The not so great: It doesn't have the most friendly and durable design. When compressing the lever, the actuation bends the cable housing at a ~60 (?) degree angle, the prolonged use of this will begin to fray the cable housing. Ergonomically, its good, but the lever itself isn't too fixed and becomes squeaky, nothing some dry lube can't fix though. Finally, to get real "nitpicky" uses the small 3mm (?) hex to clamp, which isn't a big deal its just a pain to change components with 4 different sized bolts, I like to keep them close to the same or spec on Shimano. Overall, it gets the job done, but I think there are some other brands for levers to use with a Fox Transfer dropper that are better designed, have better actuation, and won't fray the cable than this model. Also for better value plus the same nice under the front brake style. In essence, I think you can get a better lever.

      Perfect Shifter, smoothio!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This Fox lever is sweet! Super smooth action, immediate response, easy to engage, and having the lever under the bar is perfect. Takes place of the shifter when you have a 1x11. Super glad I switched from my 5 year old Giant Switch Contact post. I highly recommend this shifter!

      Good texture on lever

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Looked like a great lever but I ended up going with the wolf tooth as it would mate to the clamp on my brakes.

      Great dropper switch

I've run a couple other droppers, it seems the dropper switch is an afterthought. This switch has a great positive engagement and relatively short throw to actuate. It's in the right spot if you have a 1x setup. Probably most overlooked, it is VERY easy to setup, thread the cable and clamp with a pinch bolt that's actually possible to access and you're done.

Fox Transfer Dropper w/Fox 1x lever

I just got this post and lever, and I LOVE IT! Super responsive, infinite travel, solid seat to seat post connection, quick return when pressing the lever. You can adjust this to have it return slower if you prefer. Good feature. The previous post I was riding was a Giant Contact Switch. It worked fine, but the single bolt system for scoring the seat, is awful. Nothing holding it on both ends, just in the middle; this was also an externally routed post, and I am loving how clean the internal routing of the Transfer looks on my Yeti SB5c.
The lever is incredible. Fits under the bar exactly where I would have my shifter if I didn't have a 1x11. It's a super natural feel, and easy to press to engage the post. Great purchase!!

          Decent Ergonomics and Actuation

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased the left(under bar) lever and overall the ergonomics and actuation are pretty solid but I'm not amazed by any means. I do like the fact the the cable clamps and the lever and cleanly tucks cable/cable end into slot in lever. FYI the cable bushing required to set up your Transfer post is included with the POST NOT THE LEVER.

Thanks for the FYI. I thought my cable bushing was missing when I ordered the lever.

          Must have Transfer post bit

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Push the lever and the Transfer post goes up and down. Fits nicely under the bar. It should probably be included with the dropper post but picking a left or right lever is easy enough once you buy the seat post.

This comes with cable and housing I'm assuming? The listing here doesn't specify.

Nope. Just the lever itself, you are responsible for the cable and housing.

10/21/18 The Lever Does come with a cable and housing.

          Universal Remote

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

You can use this lever with any cable actuated dropper. Lever feels good, but the price is a little steep.

          Great Design

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Coming from a Reverb, I love the ergonomic design of this lever. It came with my new Yeti, so I don't have any experience installing it. It has a nice feel and throw, and is perfect for the 1x rider. I don't have any experience with it on the trail yet, but I expect it to perform well.
