Coil suspension has always offered something air cannot fully replicate: a linear, uninterrupted connection to the ground that rewards aggressive riding with feedback and traction rather than vagueness. The FOX DHX Live Valve Neo Rear Shock starts from that foundation and adds a layer of active intelligence that fundamentally changes what a coil shock can do on varied terrain.

The Live Valve Neo system samples terrain inputs 400 times per second through external sensors included in the separately sold Live Valve Neo Kit, triggering compression circuit adjustments in 1/70th of a second. That response time puts the system well ahead of any rider-initiated adjustment and makes the DHX Live Valve Neo genuinely adaptive rather than simply adjustable. The updated high-flow main piston assembly advances damping performance significantly toward DHX2 specification, narrowing the gap between trail-oriented coil performance and full enduro damping capability. The size-specific piggyback reservoir increases oil volume to support better heat management, more consistent small-bump sensitivity, and fade-free output across long technical descents where oil temperature and pressure fluctuation would otherwise degrade performance.

The Factory series build quality includes a chrome upper tube finish and is available in Metric and Metric Trunnion mounting configurations.
